North Mercer Board of Education accepts four resignations, adds baseball for 2017

The North Mercer R-3 Board of Education Monday evening added $1,000 to the base salary and approved each teacher to receive steps on the salary schedule. Other staff personnel will receive a three-point three percent salary increase.

A resignation was accepted from Science Teacher David Fuller for retirement. Other resignations were accepted from Rebecca Bickel as Parents and Teachers and Jeff Wyatt from varsity boys basketball coach.

Nancy Clamcomb was employed for the remainder of the year to serve as a paraprofessional. The board offered contracts to all certified staff and coaching contracts to Drew Smith for varsity girls basketball and Melissa Hill for varsity girls softball.

Summer school was approved to be held May 20th through June 5th for kindergarten through eighth grade.

Seniors made a presentation, and the senior trip to Florida was approved.

The April North Mercer board meeting was moved from April 13th to April 9th due to Spring Break conflicts.
