On October 29th, 2018 North Central Missouri College was officially designated as a Purple Heart College by the Patriot Members of the Department of Missouri Military Order of the Purple Heart. NCMC was designated for honoring students, Veterans, and their families throughout the years who have earned the Purple Heart Medal.

The Purple Heart is the oldest U.S. military decoration in use and is given to men and women who have served in the Armed Forces that were wounded or killed while engaged in combat with an enemy force, seen as a remarkably noble act of essential service.

“We are exceptionally honored to have received the Purple Heart College designation,” said Dr. Lenny Klaver, President. “As a Military Friendly campus, we support those who are on active duty, as well as Veterans who have so honorably served. Our military students make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and NCMC is proud to honor Purple Heart Medal recipients and their families.”
