North 65 Center Administrator Karen Otto is asking for donations to support the meal program provided by the senior center in Trenton. The center has temporarily closed the congregate portion of its program, but it is continuing its home delivery portion.

She says new clients have signed up for home delivery in the last three weeks. The suggested contribution is $4 per meal. Otto notes the North 65 Center’s funding “barely covers” costs during normal circumstances, and now the center does not have income from congregate meals. Food vendors have also increased their prices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyone who would like to donate to the meal program can send a contribution to the North 65 Center at Post Office Box 173 in Trenton, Missouri 64683. The center is a 501(c)3 organization, so contributions are tax-deductible. A receipt can be provided.

Questions should be directed to Administrator Karen Otto at the center Monday through Friday from 7 to 3 o’clock at 660-359-3058.
