The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates basketball program has made official the addition of Mound City High School senior Kendey Eaton to its basketball program, with Eaton signing her letter of intent with NCMC, and Head Coach Jenni Croy, on Thursday inside the Mound City High School gymnasium.

Eaton, in her senior season with the Lady Panthers, had a magical four-month run, coming back from an ACL injury to be a continual spark-plug from the Mound City back-court.  Her slashing style led Mound City to a 30-1 record, the school’s first appearance in the “Show-Me Showdown” in Columbia since 2007, and with an 18 point, five rebound, and two steal performance (in just 21 minutes), a 57-45 victory over Naylor in the Class 1 state championship game.  The title is the first ever for Mound City girl’s basketball.

Eaton will join a Lady Pirate back-court that appears to be an early strength of the 2016-2017 NCMC roster, with McKinley Hurley (Trenton, MO), Morgan Schupback (Keytesville, MO)  and Jami Nickerson (Ottumwa, IA) among those with the option of coming back for their second year, as sophomores, to the NCMC program.
