North Central Missouri College 2019 Commencement will be held on May 11, 2019, with two ceremonies.
The morning ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m. and honors all associate degrees and certificates that are non-nursing. The afternoon ceremony beginning at 1:00 p.m. honors nursing certificates, degrees, and pinnings. Both commencement ceremonies will be held at the Ketcham Community Center on the Main campus located in Trenton, Missouri.
2019 marks the 92nd NCMC commencement ceremony and the largest in the history of the college with 515 degrees and certificates awarded to 484 individual graduates. 159 associate in arts, 12 associate in arts in teaching, 172 associate in applied science, nine associate in general studies, and 163 certificates. The average age is 25.7 with the oldest graduate being 63 and the youngest 17. Graduates come from Alabama, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Wisconsin and countries Curacao, England, Honduras Netherlands, Scotland, and United States.
Vice Chairman for the Coordinating Board for Higher Education, Mike Thomson will provide the morning ceremony address, and Chief Executive Officer for the Critical Access Region of the St. Luke’s Health System, Steve Schieber is the speaker for the afternoon ceremony. Jamee Scearce, Student Senate President will provide the welcome and evocation for both ceremonies with Dr. Tristan Londre, Vice President of Academic Affairs presenting the class and Dr. Lenny Klaver, President conferring the degrees. President Klaver and President of the Board, Don Dalrymple will present degrees and honors with Dr. Kristen Alley, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs giving the turning of the tassel. Chris Hoffman, trustee and alumnus will provide the alumni welcome.
