North Central Missouri College’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Residence Hall Association are sponsoring a Pirates Versus Cancer Awareness Night Thursday.

The event will be at the Ketcham Community Center as NCMC basketball takes on Saint Louis Community College in the regular season home finale with women playing at 5 o’clock and men at 7 o’clock.

Donations will be taken at the door with proceeds going to members of the NCMC athletic family battling cancer, and the first 30 people to arrive at the games will receive a free Pirates Versus Cancer T-shirt. There will also be additional t-shirts available for purchase.

Blue Coffee Pictures, which is owned and operated by former Trenton resident Michael Ransdell, will be there to film a promotional video for Pirate athletics.

The NCMC Media Club will sponsor a student section sign contest.

The Trenton High School Pep Band will play under the direction of Tim Gilham to enhance the atmosphere during the games.

Wright Memorial Hospital and NCMC will hold their Employee Day as well.
