North Central Missouri College is helping Nodaway County manufacturers gain the skilled and ready workforce they need through training and advancement.

NCMC, in collaboration with Northwest Technical School, Maryville R-2 School District, and Nodaway County Economic Development, has partnered with Kawasaki Motors, Laclede Chain Company, and Metal Culverts, Incorporated in Nodaway County to help the manufacturers and their workforce advance in their skill sets and strengthen opportunity for economic growth.

Nodaway County Economic Development Executive Director Josh McKim says Nodaway County has a strong manufacturing tradition dependent on a skilled and dedicated workforce.

He adds that Nodaway County Economic Development appreciates the partnership and is excited about its future.

The partnership is part of the Missouri Community College Workforce Development Network initiative, which helps NCMC and 11 other community colleges break down geographical barriers to work together to provide access for businesses seeking to expand their workforce development resources through training.
