The North Central Missouri Amateur Radio Club will participate in the National Amateur Radio Field Day exercise Saturday.
The local Field Day will be at 24677 Elm Drive in Milan with ham radio operators across North America to establish temporary ham radio stations to showcase the science and skill of amateur radio.
Field Day demonstrates ham radio’s ability to work reliably under any condition from nearly any location to create an independent communications network.
Amateur Radio License Exams will be given for free Saturday morning at 11 o’clock.
Individuals taking the exam will need to bring photo identification, but no preregistration is required.
Field Day is open to the public and anyone may attend.
