The Milan Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to a free event on September 17.

The Fifth annual  Multi-Cultural festival, which is to be held on the Milan Square, has a little something for everyone, including music, dance, food vendors, as well as bounce rides for the kids.

From 11am to Noon the Little Miss Multi-Cultural event will be held at the community center, from Noon to 1:00 you can catch Adamari Cruz of Milan.  From 1pm to 3:30 a jalapeno and hot dog eating contest will take place.  From 3:30 to 5 pm Sound Exchange will be featured at the amphitheater.  Beginning at the 5:00 o’clock hour, and running until 5: 30 is the Small World Parade with entrants in traditional attire.  Mariachi Zapata is featured at the amphitheater from 5:30 to 7. From 8 to 10 pm Elvis impersonator Coday Ray Slaughter will be performing in the amphitheater.

To top the event off, from 10pm to 1 am you can dance the night away at the street dance featuring music from a Hispanic disc jockey.

The chamber of commerce would also like to remind people attending the festival that all times for events may be subject to change.
