Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation now plan to close one lane of U.S. Highway 69 for pavement improvements beginning Thursday, Oct. 27.

The road will be narrowed in approximately two miles sections between the Iowa state line and Route M near Eagleville throughout the duration of the project.

First, contractor crews will prepare the road surface by doing some patching. That process is expected to take four working days. Once the patching is completed the old road surface will be milled off and resurfacing will begin.

During all phases of the project, motorists can expect delays and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.

MoDOT asks motorists to pay attention to all flaggers and signs.

If accessing U.S. 69 from a side road, wait for the pilot car before proceeding onto U.S. 69. The contractor plans to complete the project by mid to late November.

All planned work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
