Motorcyclist dies in accident involving farm equipment in northeast Missouri

A northeast Missouri man was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was operating hit a farm implement that was being pulled by a tractor, in an accident early Saturday north of Wyaconda in northeast Missouri.

The rider of the motorcycle, 30-year old Randy Yates of Wyaconda was pronounced dead at Scotland County Hospital.

The operator of the tractor, 49-year old Mark Boley of wyaconda, was not reported hurt.

The accident happened four miles north of Wyaconda in Clark County when the motorcycle struck the farm tractor as both vehicles were northbound on Route A. The motorcycle crested a hill, hitting the implement being pulled by the tractor.

The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the tractor incurred minor damage.
