The operator of a motorcycle was thrown off the machine in an accident with another vehicle, Monday afternoon, in northeast Missouri’s Schuyler County.

The highway patrol reports 68 year old Darren Garrison of Queen City was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garrison had been southbound on U.S. Highway 63 when a northbound car allegedly attempted to make a left turn and pulled into the path of the motorcycle. The accident happened at the Queen City junction of U-S 63 and Route W.

The car was driven by 25 year old Derek Tague of Columbia. He was to seek his own treatment for what the state patrol called minor injuries. Both the motorcycle and the car were demolished. Both drivers were using safety devices.
