MoDOT planned road work in northern Missouri for the week of March 9, 2020

The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in northern Missouri for the week of March 9 – 15.

Though not listed below, some routes remain closed due to flooding. View routes closed due to flooding, as well as roadwork projects at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as pothole patching, striping, signal work, etc., in addition to the work mentioned below.

Atchison County

Route 111 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Mill Creek Bridge near Corning. The bridge will remain closed through mid-April.

Route BB – CLOSED for a culvert replacement 1 mile north of Watson, March 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route B – Shoulder and drainage work from Interstate 29 to Route 275, March 9 – 13

Route TT – Culvert replacement at R Avenue, March 10. Flaggers and signs will guide motorists through the work zone

Buchanan County

Route 116 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over Interstate 29 through May 2020. There may be periodic lane closures northbound and southbound on I-29. Motorists can expect delays. 

Carroll County

Route C – CLOSED until further notice at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge due to damage from flooding. A project to replace the bridge with a box culvert is currently scheduled to be part of the March 2020 letting.

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge maintenance at the Shootman Creek Bridge, March 9 – 13. Temporary traffic signals are in place to direct motorists through the work zone

Chariton County

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Mussel Fork River and Overflow bridges west of Keytesville through spring 2020.

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges through March 2020. These bridges are part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

Route O – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Jones Road to Berger Road, March 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route M – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route Y to Marquette Avenue, March 10 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route M – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Zion Avenue to Route Y, March 11 – 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Clinton County

I-35 – Resurfacing project from the Clinton/Clay County line to just north of Route 116 through mid-July

I-35 – Rest Area ramps CLOSED south of Lathrop, March 10. Each ramp may be closed 2-3 hours and two ramps may be closed simultaneously.

Route 33 – Milling from Route 116 to U.S. Route 36 (DeKalb County), March 9 – 13

Route C – Drainage work from Route J to SW 208th Street, March 9 – 13

Daviess County

Route 13 – Driveway culvert replacement northbound from Clay Street to Brook Street, March 10

Route B – Drainage work eastbound at 262nd Street, March 11

Route V – Pothole patching, March 12 – 13

DeKalb County

Route 33 – Milling from U.S. Route 36 to Route 116 (Clinton County), March 9 – 13

Harrison County

Route A – CLOSED for a culvert replacement 1 mile east of Route T, March 9 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Outer Road 35 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement 2 miles south of Route A, March 10 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Holt County

Route T – CLOSED until further notice at Mill Bluff Road due to roadway damage

U.S. Route 159 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over the Little Tarkio Creek through spring 2020. 

U.S. Route 159 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over I-29 (Exit 79) near Mound City through the end of May. 

Route T – CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project over Spring Creek through April. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.

Route E – CLOSED to through traffic for a culvert replacement from U.S. Route 59 to Route F, March 9 – 13

Route 111 – Brush cutting, March 9 – 13

Linn County

Route B – Bridge maintenance on the Parson Creek Bridge, March 9 – 13

Livingston County

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge rehabilitation project over the Grand River through November.

Route 190 – Bridge rehabilitation project over the Thompson River through November.

Nodaway County

U.S. Route 136 – Milling from Maryville to Route 46, March 9 – 11

U.S. Route 136 – Brush cutting at the One Hundred and Two River Bridge, March 9 – 13

Route A – Shoulder work, March 9 – 13

Sullivan County

Route PP – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the East Medicine Creek Bridge. The bridge was part of the January 2020 letting and a contract was awarded to Widel, Inc. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.

Worth County

Route YY – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork of the Grand River. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. The bridge will remain closed through May.
