MoDOT planned road work in north Missouri for the week of March 23, 2020

The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in north Missouri for the week of March 23 – 29.

All road closures for roadwork, incidents, and ongoing flooding can be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as pothole patching, striping, signal work, etc., in addition to the work mentioned below.

Andrew County

Interstate 29 – Bridge replacement project over Hopkins Creek and Route T through January 2021

Route DD – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from County Road 366 to County Road 365, March 25, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

I-29 – Bridge maintenance at the 57-mile marker over I-229, March 23 – 27

U.S. Route 169, Routes C, and V– Shoulder work, March 23 – 27

Route CC – Bridge maintenance over I-229, March 23 – 27

Atchison County

U.S. Route 136 – Bridge maintenance, March 23 – 27

Route 111 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Mill Creek Bridge near Corning. The bridge will remain closed through mid-April.

Buchanan County

Route 116 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over I-29 through May 2020. There may be periodic lane closures northbound and southbound on I-29. Motorists can expect delays.

Route 6 – Resurfacing project from just east of Route AC (Riverside Road) to Route 31 (DeKalb County) through September

Route 752 – Bridge maintenance over I-229 and 22nd Street, March 26 – 27

Route A – Bridge maintenance over I-229, March 26 – 27

Caldwell County

U.S. Route 36 – Resurfacing project westbound from the Livingston County line to Route 13 through mid-April. There is a 14-foot width restriction in place.

Route J – Resurfacing project from U.S. Route 36 to Route 6 (Daviess County) through mid-April. There is a 10-foot width restriction in place.

Carroll County

Route C – CLOSED until further notice at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge due to damage from flooding. A project to replace the bridge with a box culvert is part of the March 2020 letting.

Chariton County

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Mussel Fork River and Overflow bridges west of Keytesville through April

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges through March 2020. These bridges are part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

Clinton County

I-35 – Resurfacing project from the Clinton/Clay County line to just north of Route 116 through mid-July

I-35 Outer Road – CLOSED for a culvert replacement 1 mile south of Route BB, March 25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daviess County

Route J – Resurfacing project from Route 6 to U.S. Route 36 (Caldwell County) through mid-April. There is a 10-foot width restriction in place.

Route 6 – Bridge maintenance, March 23 – 25

Route V – Pothole patching, March 23 – 26

U.S. Route 69 – Bridge maintenance, March 23 – 27

Route 6 – Pothole pathing, March 25 – 27

DeKalb County

Route 6 – Resurfacing project from Route 31 to just east of Route AC (Riverside Road, Buchanan County) through September

U.S. Route 36 – Bridge maintenance at the Grindstone Creek Bridge, March 26 – 27

Route 33 – Bridge maintenance at the Lost Creek Bridge, March 26 – 27

Route 6 – Bridge maintenance at the West Fork Lost Creek, Big Lost Creek, and Big Lost Creek Overflow bridges, March 26 – 27

Gentry County

Route AA – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Elmwood Avenue to Cord Avenue, March 23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harrison County

Route W – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route M to Route F, March 23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route Z – CLOSED for a culvert replacement, March 24, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route B – Pothole patching, March 23

Route 13 – Pothole patching from I-35 to Route H, March 24 – 27

Route N – Bridge maintenance over I-35, March 25 – 27

Holt County

Route T – CLOSED until further notice at Mill Bluff Road due to roadway damage.

U.S. Route 159 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over the Little Tarkio Creek through spring 2020.

U.S. Route 159 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over I-29 (Exit 79) near Mound City through the end of May.

Route T – CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project over Spring Creek through April. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.

I-29 – Bridge replacement project over Route E and Kimsey Creek through August. There is a 12-foot width restriction in place.   The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.

Livingston County

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge rehabilitation project over the Grand River through November.

Route 190 – Bridge rehabilitation project over the Thompson River through November. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

Route C – Bridge inspection at the Shoal Creek Bridge, March 23 – 27

Mercer County

U.S. Route 136 – Bridge inspection at the Weldon Fork Bridge, March 23 – 27

Nodaway County

U.S. Route 71 – Bridge maintenance at the White Cloud Creek Bridge, March 23

Route A – Pothole patching from U.S. Route 71 to Route H, March 23 – 27

Route 246 – Drainage work in Hopkins, March 23 – 27

Route VV – Bridge inspection at the Platte River Bridge, March 23 – 27

Putnam County

Route 129 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from the Iowa state line to 124th Street, March 23, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 129 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route CC to 150th Street, March 24, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Route 129 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route Y to 330th Road, March 25, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sullivan County

Route PP – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the East Medicine Creek Bridge through early July. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.

Worth County

Route YY – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork of the Grand River. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. The bridge will remain closed through May.
