The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region planned for the week of May 16 – 22 from the Missouri Department of Transportation. In addition to the work listed below, there may be pothole patching, bridge deck washing, striping, brush cutting, guardrail repairs and other road work conducted throughout the region. Many of these will be moving operations and could include lane closures with delays.

MoDOT reminds the public to stay alert, watch for road work, buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones and in changing weather conditions.

Andrew County

Interstate 29 – NIGHT WORK southbound from Business U.S. Route 71 to Route O (Buchanan County); resurfacing project, May 16 – 21, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.

Atchison County

Route N – CLOSED at the East Fork of the Little Tarkio Creek Bridge; bridge replacement project. The road will be closed through mid-June.

Route EE and MM – Pothole patching, May 16 – 17

Buchanan County

I-229 and U.S. Route 36 – Sweeping and flushing bridges, May 16 – 19

Route Y – CLOSED from Route DD to Route 116; sealing, May 19, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Interstate 29 – NIGHT WORK southbound from Business U.S. Route 71 (Andrew County) to Route O; resurfacing project, May 16 – 21, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.

Caldwell County

U.S. Route 36 – From Route J to the Livingston County line; shoulder work, May 20

U.S. Route 65 – At the Moss Drain Creek Bridge; bridge maintenance, May 16 – 20

Chariton County

Route C – From Route 11 to Route 5; pothole patching, May 16 – 17

Route 139 – From Route RA to Route TT; pothole patching, May 16 – 17

Route M – From the Carroll County line to Route 11; pothole patching, May 18

Route 5 – From U.S. Route 24 to Route E; pothole patching, May 19 – 20

Daviess County

Various routes – Striping, May 16 – 20

DeKalb County

U.S. Hwy 36 – Westbound driving lane of the U.S. Hwy 36 bridge over I-35; bridge maintenance, May 16 – 17. The work zone will be left up overnight and includes a 12-foot width restriction.

U.S. Hwy 36 – Turn lane from westbound U.S. Hwy 36 to southbound I-35; bridge maintenance, May 18 – 20. The work zone will be left up overnight and includes a 12-foot width restriction.

U.S. Route 36 – Shoulder work, May 19 – 20

Gentry County

Route Z – CLOSED from Route A to 395th Road; culvert replacement, May 16 – 17, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily

Route N – Drainage work, May 16 – 18

Various routes – Striping, May 16 – 20

Route AA – CLOSED from 390th Road to 395th Road; culvert replacement, May 18, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Grundy County

Route 6 – At the No Creek Bridge; bridge maintenance, May 16 – 19, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. A temporary traffic signal will be in place during working hours.

Harrison County

I-35 – CLOSED at the southbound weigh station at mile marker 110.4; pavement repair, May 16, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route CC – CLOSED from Route TT to 125th Avenue; culvert replacement, May 16, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route N – At the I-35 bridge; bridge maintenance, May 16 – 17

Route EE – CLOSED from Route M to Route F; culvert replacement, May 16 – 20, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

I-35 – Northbound from mile marker 107 (near Eagleville) to the Iowa state line; pavement repair, May 17

Route T – CLOSED from Route DD to 220nd Street; culvert replacement, May 17, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route T – CLOSED from 150th Street to the Iowa state line; culvert replacement, May 18, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-35 – Southbound at mile marker 87 (near Route 13); pavement repair, May 18

U.S. Route 136 – At the I-35 bridge; bridge maintenance, May 18 – 20.

Route CC – CLOSED from East 320th Place to East 330th Street; culvert replacement, May 19 – 20, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Route AA/H – CLOSED at the I-35 bridge; bridge maintenance. Closed overnight form 7 a.m. May 19 to 10 a.m. May 20.

Holt County

Route 111 – From the city limits of Craig to the city limits of Big Lake; pothole patching, May 18 – 20

Linn County

Route 139 – From Route TT to Route 130; pothole patching, May 18

Route 139 – From U.S. Route 36 to Route B; pothole patching, May 19 – 20

Livingston County

Route V – CLOSED from the city limits of Chillicothe to Route K; chip seal, May 18 – 20, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Nodaway County

Route JJ – CLOSED at the One Hundred and Two River Bridge; bridge replacement project. The bridge will be closed through the end of June.

Route AA – CLOSED; pothole patching, May 16, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route WW – CLOSED; pothole patching, May 16 – 17, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

U.S. Route 71 – From 352nd Street to 370th Street; pothole patching, May 18 – 19

Route 148 – Pothole patching, May 20

Putnam County

Route U – CLOSED from 150th Street to 140th Street; culvert replacement, May 16, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route Z – CLOSED from Route N to Poinsettia Trail; culvert replacement, May 18, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sullivan County

Route 129 – CLOSED from Polo Road to Harvest Drive; culvert replacement, May 16, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 129 – CLOSED from Harvest Drive to Haven Drive; culvert replacement, May 17, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 129 – CLOSED from Haven Drive to Route HH; culvert replacement, May 18, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
