MoDOT planned road work August 8 through 14

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region planned for the week of Aug. 8 – 14 from the Missouri Department of Transportation In addition to the work listed below, there may be pothole patching, bridge deck washing, striping, brush cutting, guardrail repairs and other road work conducted throughout the region. Many of these will be moving operations and could include lane closures with delays.

Andrew County

  • Route 48 – CLOSED at the Platte River Bridge near Whitesville for a bridge replacement project. The road will be closed through mid-November.
  • Route M – Pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 9
  • Interstate 29 – NIGHT WORK southbound from Business U.S. Route 71 to 1.5 miles south of Route O (Buchanan County) for guardrail work, Aug. 8 – 12, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.

Buchanan County

  • U.S. Route 169 – Traffic will be head-to-head through the junction with Route YY (Belt Highway and Mitchell Avenue intersection) for a resurfacing project, Aug. 8 at 6 a.m. through Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. There will be no access to Mitchell Avenue from the Belt Highway during this time.
  • Route YY – CLOSED at the U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) for a resurfacing project, Aug. 8 at 6 a.m. through Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. There will be no access to the Belt Highway from Mitchell Avenue during this time.
  • U.S. Route 36 – One mile west of Route AC for grading work Aug. 8 – 12.
  • I-29 – NIGHT WORK southbound from Business U.S. Route 71 (Andrew County) to 1.5 miles south of Route O for guardrail work, Aug. 8 – 12, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.

Caldwell County

  • Route 13 – CLOSED at the Log Creek Bridge near Kingston for a bridge deck replacement project. The bridge will be closed through November.

U.S. Route 36 in Hamilton, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 – 12 for a pavement repair project:

  • CLOSED Aug. 8 – 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily in the eastbound lanes. Traffic will be redirected to use the ramps at U.S. Route 36 and Route 13.
  • Around the clock closure of the eastbound lanes on U.S. Route 36. Includes a 12-foot width restriction.

Carroll County

  • Routes C, M and Z – Pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 12

Chariton County

  • Route Y – Sealing, Aug. 9

Daviess County

  • Route P – CLOSED from 240th Street to Route K for a culvert replacement, Aug. 8 – 9, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
  • Route VV – Pothole patching, Aug. 11 – 12

DeKalb County

  • U.S. Route 36 – Traffic will be head-to-head at the overpass over I-35 for a bridge replacement project. During this project, no left turns from U.S. Route 36 on I-35 will be permitted, as the medians between east and westbound U.S. Route 36 will be closed. This project will continue through mid-December.
  • I-35 – One lane may be closed under the U.S. Route 36 overpass for a bridge deck replacement project. During this project, traffic exiting I-35 will not be permitted to turn left onto U.S. Route 36, as the medians between east and westbound U.S. Route 36 will be closed. This project will continue through mid-December.
  • Routes J & O – Pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 12

Grundy County

  • Route Z – CLOSED from SE 60th Street to SE 30th Avenue for a culvert replacement, Aug. 9, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Route 146 – At the Raccoon Creek Bridge for maintenance, Aug. 10 – 11
  • U.S. Route 65 – At the Honey Creek Drain Ditch Bridge for maintenance, Aug. 12

Harrison County

  • Route EE – CLOSED from Route F/FF to Route M for a sealing operation, Aug. 8, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Route 46 – From Route NN to U.S. Route 69 for pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 12
  • Route CC – From Route MM to U.S. Route 136 for pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 12

Holt County

  • Route T – At the Mill Creek Bridge for maintenance, Aug. 8 – 10
  • I-29 – From mile marker 99 (Atchison County line) to mile marker 66 (Andrew County line) for pavement repair, Aug. 8 – 12. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.
  • Route 118 – From Route 111 to U.S. Route 59 for pavement repair, Aug. 8 – 13. A flagger will direct traffic through the work zone.
  • U.S. Route 159 – At the Squaw Creek Bridge for maintenance, Aug. 11 – 12

Linn County

  • U.S. Route 36 – From Route 139 to the Macon County line for pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 9
  • Route 139 – From Route B to the Sullivan County line for pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 9
  • U.S. Route 36 – Westbound at Route 11 for drainage work, Aug. 8 – 10

Livingston County

  • U.S. Route 36 – Eastbound from U.S. Route 65 to the Linn County line for pavement repair, Aug. 8 – 10
  • U.S. Route 36 – Westbound from the Linn County line to U.S. Route 65 for pavement repair, Aug. 10 – 12

Nodaway County

  • Route U – CLOSED at the One Hundred and Two River Bridge for a bridge deck replacement project. The bridge will be closed through September.
  • Route B – From U.S. Route 71 to Route 148 for pothole patching, Aug. 8
  • U.S. Route 71 – Northbound single-lane closure at the White Cloud Creek Bridge, just north of the Andrew County line, for a bridge deck replacement project, Aug. 8 – 13. This includes a 12-foot width restriction.

Putnam County

  • Route 149 – From U.S. Route 136 to Route AA for pothole patching, Aug. 8 – 9
  • Route Z – Pothole patching, Aug. 10
  • Route N – Pothole patching, Aug. 11 – 12

Sullivan County

  • Route 139 – From the Linn County line to Route PP for pothole patching, Aug. 10 – 12

Worth County

  • U.S. Route 169 – At the Middle Fork Grand River Bridge for maintenance, Aug. 8 – 11. A temporary traffic signal has been installed during the project.
