The Missouri Department of Transportation Northwest District reports the access between the east and westbound lanes of U. S. Highway 36 at Highway 33 and Route M junction near Osborn is back open.

MoDOT notes contractors with Herzog Contracting Corporation closed the access April 11th and reopened it Wednesday. The closure was part of a project to rebuild and resurface portions of U. S. 36.

MoDOT reports U. S. 36 westbound traffic will move head-to-head with eastbound traffic in the eastbound lanes near the Highway 33 and Route M junction while rebuilding takes place.

The head-to-head traffic switch is tentatively scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 24 and will continue until just before July 4. Highway 33 north will be closed to all traffic towards the end of this phase while a new intersection is constructed.

MoDOT adds that the work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled.
