Due to weather, two planned closures in Harrison County this week have been changed. Route Y was set to close today between E. 322nd Avenue and W. Main Street in Mt. Moriah. That closure has been moved to Wednesday, March 29, at the same location, between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The closure planned for Route B between Routes A and E. 222nd Street has been moved from Wednesday, March 29 to Thursday, March 30 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

A road closure planned this week for Sullivan County has changed. Route T was set to close tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28, between Tiger Road and Ember Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. That closure will now end at 1 p.m. An additional closure on Route T between Tiger Road and Sumter Road will last from approximately 12 p.m. (noon) to 3 p.m. Both planned closures are weather permitting.

Surface improvements are coming soon to Route CC in Harrison and Grundy counties. Contractors from Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to overlay Route CC beginning at the south end at Route 146 in Grundy County on Monday, May 1. They will close the road in two-mile segments beginning at approximately 7 a.m. As they complete each two-mile segment, they will reopen it and move north.

The project will continue to U.S. Route 136. This overlay will take several days and should be completed on or before May 8, 2017, weather permitting. Crews will continue with signing and striping the route that week with all work scheduled to be completed on or before May 12, 2017.

If weather conditions and other mitigating factors allow, this project may be accelerated and begin sooner than May 1.
