The highway patrol has made arrests in Harrison and Caldwell counties.

Thirty-five-year-old Edward Cates of Bethany was arrested Tuesday evening in Harrison County and taken on a 24-hour hold to the law enforcement center in Bethany.

The state patrol has accused Cates of felony possession of a controlled substance, listed as methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; as well as operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failure to display valid license plates.

A resident of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, 23-year-old Daniel Kelchner, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Caldwell County. Kelchner has been accused of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken on a 24-hour hold to the Caldwell County Jail.
