Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has announced that her office has started work on a regularly scheduled audit of the government of Daviess County, located in northwest Missouri. Audit staff are on-site in the county seat of Gallatin. Auditor Galloway encouraged citizens to share concerns or information through the dedicated hotline.

“The Whistleblower Hotline exists as a resource for anyone who would like to provide information or submit concerns anonymously and without fear of retribution, ” Auditor Galloway said. “My team will conduct a thorough review of Daviess County operations, and I look forward to sharing any findings with the county’s residents.”
The county’s most recent audit report was released in June of 20 and received an overall performance rating of fair.
