The Missouri Highway 36 Heritage Alliance will hold its annual membership and education meeting in Hamilton later this month.

The meeting will be held at the Missouri Star Quilt Company Sewing Center at 204 North Davis Street in Hamilton October 24 and will start with an optional tour of the Missouri Star Quilt Company at 8 o’clock that morning.

Missouri Highway 36 Heritage Alliance Board Chair Amy Supple will make introductions at 9:30 followed by the annual business meeting at 10 o’clock.

Missouri Division of Tourism Director Dan Lennon will discuss tourism impacts and opportunities at 10:30. Megan Rapp with the Hannibal Visitors Bureau and Kaye Malins with the Walt Disney Hometown Museum of Marceline will speak at 11:15.

A lunch and networking will begin at noon with the luncheon costing $15 per person which can be paid in advance or at the door.

Alan Carr with Carr Strategies from the Kansas City area will talk about marketing a business for tourism at 1 o’clock and strategic marketing plans at 1:45.
