The Missouri Department of Conservation wants to know what Missourians think about its conservation areas.

The department is updating its management plans for the Russell B., Hazel S., and Arnold L. VanDyke Conservation Area southwest of Princeton and the Grand River access areas in Daviess, Gentry, Worth, Livingston, Carroll, and Chariton counties.

The plans focus on natural resource management and public use for conservation areas.

The public can view draft management plans and share comments at the MDC website through March 31.

MDC will consider all ideas that are received and the staff will base its decisions on which ideas to incorporate into the plans by considering each property’s purpose, physical and biological conditions, and capabilities and the best roles of the property in local, regional, and state-wide context.
