Milan teen crashes in attempt to avoid deer

A Milan teen was injured Monday night, according to the Highway Patrol, when the car he was driving swerved to avoid a deer on Sullivan County Route E.

The car traveled off the road and overturned causing 16-year-old William Turpin to receive minor injuries. He was transported by an ambulance to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital of Milan.

The car was demolished in the accident ten miles west of Milan at 8:50 Monday night. Turpin was using a seat belt.
