Two Milan residents were hurt early Sunday when a compact sport utility vehicle overturned on highway 6 west of Novinger.
The driver, 23-year old Devin Moss, received moderate injuries while a passenger, 21-year old Caleb Meseke received minor injuries. Both were taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The crash took place one mile west of Novinger on Highway 6 as the driver, Devin Moss, fell asleep. The eastbound SUV went off the road, hit a culvert, became airborne and overturned ejecting Moss from the vehicle.
The SUV was demolished and t patrol reports neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
