The Highway Patrol reports a Mercer woman sustained minor injuries when a car attempted to make a U-turn in a private drive and was struck by a sport utility vehicle about three miles north of Princeton on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency medical services transported SUV driver Catherine Woodley to Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa. Twenty-nine-year-old Dodge Docheff of Kansas City was reported as not injured.

The vehicles traveled north on Highway 65 before the car tried to make the U-turn, and the front right of the SUV hit the front left of the car. The vehicles came to rest on the northbound shoulder facing northwest, totaled.

Both drivers wore safety devices. A Missouri Conservation agent and Mercer County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
