Mercer County manslaughter/assault case moved to Grundy County, Missouri

A Mercer County court case was received in Grundy County on a change of venue.

Twenty eight-year-old Valerie Robinson of rural Princeton was charged in Mercer County with first degree involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second degree assault in connection with a two-vehicle traffic accident last July 4th east of Princeton.

Ms. Robinson is charged with being under the influence of alcohol in the vehicle she was operating, crossing the center line as well as colliding with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Kimberly Hertzog of Princeton.

Kimberly Hertzog was pronounced dead at the scene and two passengers in the car she was driving, 49-year-old Michael Hertzog and 22-year-old Colton Hertzog, both of Princeton, were injured.

Ms. Robinson was charged with second degree assault relating to the injuries to

Michael and Colton Hertzog. Valerie Robinson also was injured in the accident.

The case was ordered transferred to Grundy County on April 8th but the records did not arrive until Friday, April 29th.

Grundy County Associate Circuit Court Judge Steve Hudson was assigned to hear the case after a change of judge request was approved.
