The Mercer girls open postseason play on Tuesday night, taking a 24-0 record to Green City to meet the Bucklin-Macon County Lady Bulldogs in a Class 1, District 12 semifinal. Dennis Stephenson will have the call on Hot Country Z 101.7 at 6 o’clock. Last week, Mercer survived an overtime scare from Gilman City, and blasted East Harrison on Friday night. A potential Mercer appearance in a district championship game would be Friday night. The Mercer boys have a #1 seed for district play, with a third meeting against the Green City Gophers approaching on Wednesday night in the semifinals (at Green City).
