A single-vehicle accident occurred on August 13, 2024, at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Highway 36 in Macon, Missouri. The accident involved a 2022 Buick Encore driven by Stephen W. Bright, a 60-year-old man from Bucklin, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bright experienced a medical condition while driving westbound, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. The Buick Encore traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Despite the impact, Bright did not suffer any injuries in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene by Still Towing. Bright was transported to University Hospital by the Macon County Ambulance for further evaluation.
