May unemployment rates vary across northern Missouri counties

The latest figures show unemployment rates in northern Missouri range from just over three percent in Worth and Gentry counties to more than five percent in Adair County. Grundy County’s May unemployment rate stands at 4.3 percent, an increase from April’s 3.5 percent. The latest rate reflects 170 individuals claiming unemployment benefits out of a civilian labor force of nearly 4,000 (3,987).
