Man who shot Trenton police officer Jasmine Diab once again has case continued

The Trenton man charged with felony first-degree assault or attempting to cause serious physical injury to Trenton Police Officer Jasmine Diab appeared in Division One of Livingston County Circuit Court on Tuesday for a pre-trial conference.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jamey Aaron Griffin’s case was continued to May 5, 2020, for a pre-trial conference. A jury trial was previously scheduled for July 20th through 24th.

Griffin has also been charged with the felonies of unlawful use of a weapon—shoot at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle, or building—death or injury as well as armed criminal action.

Diab was wounded in the June 14, 2019, shooting near Winston while she transported Griffin through Daviess County.
