A jury trial has been scheduled for the Trenton man charged with felony first-degree assault causing serious physical injury to Trenton Police Officer Jasmine Diab in June.

Online court information shows 39-year-old Jamey Aaron Griffin appeared in Division One of Livingston County Circuit Court on Tuesday with the case continued to July 20th through 24th for a jury trial. A pre-trial conference is set for March 3, 2020, at 3 pm.

Griffin has also been charged with the felonies of unlawful use of a weapon—shoot at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle, or building—death or injury and armed criminal action.

Diab was wounded in the June 14th shooting at Winston while she was transporting Griffin through Daviess County. The case was transferred on a change of venue in November to Livingston County from Daviess County.
