The Carrollton Police Department reports it engaged in a manhunt and responded to a disturbance Tuesday.

The police department notes the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the manhunt for 37-year-old Willis Turner of Tina in the residential area southeast of the North Mason and Fourth Street intersection. He was apprehended on a Missouri Department of Corrections Detainee warrant.

Carrollton Police say Turner had been absconding from the Department of Corrections since August of this year. Turner is incarcerated without bond and waiting for extradition back to the DOC.

The police department reports the disturbance it responded to in the 400 block of West Benton Street lead to the arrest of 24-year-old Brandon Lake of Carrollton on possession of controlled substances.

Online court information shows he has since been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, prior drug offense. Lake’s bond is $35,000 cash only.
