Main Street Chillicothe to hold Wine Walk and Concert

Main Street Chillicothe will hold its first Wine Walk and Concert of the year in Downtown Chillicothe this month.

Four hundred glasses will be for sale for the event the evening of May 17th. Registration in front of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce Building will take place from 4 o’clock to 7:15. The last glass will be sold at 7:15, and the Wine Walk will last until 8 o’clock.

Participating businesses will only serve Missouri wines as well as food to compliment the wine. The fee to participate in the Wine Walk is $20.00. Interested individuals can register in advance on the internet at THIS LINK. Registration may also be completed by visiting the second floor of the Commerce Center at 514 Washington Street or by calling the Main Street Chillicothe Office at 660-646-4071. Main Street Wine Walk participants must be at least 21 years old.

Soul Root from Holts Summit will play a variety of music at a free concert in the Silver Moon Plaza in Downtown Chillicothe May 17th from 7:30 to 10:30. No outside coolers or drinks will be allowed into Silver Moon Plaza. Alcoholic beverages and grilled food will be available for purchase during the concert.

Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples reports Webster Street will be closed from Locust to Washington Street May 17th from 3 o’clock in the afternoon to 11:15 that night. The alley from Calhoun to Webster will also be closed.
