The public is invited to gather on Thursday outside the Grundy County Courthouse for the National Day of Prayer. The community event begins at 12 noon, on the west (Main Street) side of the courthouse.
The event is sponsored by the Trenton Area Ministerial Alliance and is entitled “Pray for America – Unity.” EJ Barnes, Pastor of Modena Baptist Church, will lead the singing of “My Country Tis of Thee” and “America the Beautiful.” The Pledge of Allegiance will be recited to the U.S. flag. The devotion will be delivered by Andrew Bertram, the Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church in Trenton.
The May 3rd annual event concludes with a circle of prayer.
