An event celebrating Earth Day will be held at The Garden at the corner of 18th and Harris in Trenton.

Ashlen Busick and her husband Tyler manage The Garden and note persons of all ages may attend Earth Day in The Garden the afternoon of April 22nd from 1 to 4 o’clock. The event will include building and planting projects, outdoor games, and educational and interactive activities.

Busick says Earth Day in The Garden might be a good time for anyone who wants to learn more about the garden to see what goes on there and how to get involved with other activities.

Several organizations in town have provided information to be provided during Earth Day, and Busick encourages other organizations to also get involved and participate in the event. Busick says that last year’s event went well, and she hopes it can be held each year.

The garden plans to open for regular hours the Saturday after the final day of school in Trenton. Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 to 10 o’clock in the morning and 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening as well as Saturday mornings from 8 to 11 o’clock.

Busick adds that volunteers may come to the garden during those hours, and they can take any of the food available.
