Livingston County Sheriff’s Department officers complete training

Deputy and school Resource Officer Mike Lewis and Deputy Chris Mueller of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department recently attended training provided by the Missouri School Resource Officers and Missouri Police Chiefs Association.

A total of 218 School Resource Officers and 130 Police Chiefs attended the conference.

Training included areas of drug trends, legal updates, behavior risk assessment, victimology, as well as other areas of law enforcement. Deputy Mueller also attended a two-day RAIDER course which is designed to train officers for solo engagement against active shooters.

Deputy Mike Lewis completed a 2-year term as Vice-President of the Missouri School Resource Officers Association and was sworn in at the conference and now serves as President of that association for 2 years.

There was no cost for the training to the Livingston County Sheriff’s department.
