Livingston County Sheriff seeks assistance from public with burglary

Livingston County Sheriff  Steve Cox is seeking assistance from the public regarding a residential burglary which took place at a home on Highway U.

The sheriff’s department reports the theft occurred sometime since Thursday evening, April 7th in northwest Livingston County.

Sheriff Cox was quoted as saying “Someone removed a large locked gun safe from a home while the residents were gone. This safe was very large and heavy and should have required multiple people with either a pickup or trailer to haul the safe away.”
