Livingston County sheriff arrests two on burglary/tampering and unlawful use of a weapon

On April 24, 2016 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of a reported burglary and theft of an ATV from southern Livingston County.

After a lengthy investigation, the Livingston County sheriff’s office arrest Norman Justin Caselman, 36, of Wheeling for the alleged crimes.

Caselman was incarcerated in the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.

The Livingston County Court has issued an arrest warrant charging Mr. Caselman with Burglary and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and initially placed bond at $15,000 cash.

The ATV was recovered  in the Wheeling area and has been returned to the lawful owner.

 

April 25 the Livingston County sheriff’s office responded to a call of a trespassing,  and multiple shots being fired outside a residence located north east of Chillicothe.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Claude Spainhour, 67, Chillicothe for alleged Trespassing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Mr. Spainhour was subsequently incarcerated in the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.  Livingston County Court has since charged Mr. Spainhour with alleged felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Mr. Spainhour has posted the $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Livingston County Associate Court at a later date.
