Livingston County Library to present container gardening program

The Livingston County Library is presenting a Container Gardening program, April 11th at 6:00 pm. The program will be hands on with participants planting plants in a container that they will take home with them. The cost for this program is $30 and includes potting mix, fertilizer, and plants. Participants are asked to bring their own pot or container that is no larger than 14 inches in diameter.

In addition to demonstrating proper planting methods, Lori Shiflett from the Meadville FFA greenhouse will discuss how to choose plants suitable for container gardening and how to care for and maintain them. Each attendee will leave with a beautiful container garden to enjoy at home. All proceeds from the class will support the Meadville FFA greenhouse program.

Advanced registration is required and payment is due before April 7 and class size is limited. To register you can stop by the Library or call 640-646-0547.
