Three Livingston County Sheriff deputies attended Infectious Disease Training for Law Enforcement in Columbia.

Sheriff Steve Cox reports Deputy Chris Mueller, Deputy Ryan Ford, and Reserve Deputy/Bailiff John Stafford attended the course put on by the Federal Emergency Management Association.

Cox says the training was free to the sheriff’s office and its staff.

Law enforcement officers are required to obtain a minimum of 24 hours of approved Peace Officer Standards and Training each year.
