Linn County Health Department now reports 3rd case of COVID-19

Linn County has reported its third positive test for the COVID-19. The health department on Sunday said an individual is self-isolating to decrease the possibility of exposing others, but no other information is being released.

On Saturday, the Linn County Health Department had announced its second positive case of COVID-19. That person, according to the health department, was recovering in the care of Northeast Regional Hospital. In both cases, the specimens were tested

by a private lab. Linn County Health Department reports efforts are being made to identify and contact persons who may have come into contact with the individuals while infectious and will monitor them.

There have now been six positive test results for coronavirus patients as reported by county health departments in the Green Hills Region. Besides three in Linn county, there’s two in Harrison, and one in Livingston county. None have reported by health departments in Grundy, Mercer, Sullivan, Putnam, Daviess, and Caldwell counties.

Nearby counties with people testing positive include ten in Adair; seven in Clinton; four in Chariton, and two in Macon.

Statewide as of Sunday afternoon, the department of health and senior services reports 2,367 positive cases. There have been 34 deaths with 20 of them occurring in St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and the city of St. Louis. Over 27,000 have been tested at all labs in Missouri.
