Lineville, Iowa man hurt in Saturday night crash near Princeton

A Lineville, Iowa resident was hurt in the collision of a car and a pickup truck late Saturday night north of Princeton.

57-year-old Larry Devitt of Lineville was taken to Decatur County Hospital at Leon, Iowa with moderate injuries.

The driver of the pickup, 56-year-old Steven Colyn of Indianola, Iowa, was not reported hurt.

The accident happened two miles north of Princeton on highway 65 when the northbound car met the pickup that was traveling south. The collision occurred when the car driven by Devitt made an abrupt turn into the southbound lane and hit the pickup.

Both vehicles were demolished.

Colyn was wearing a seatbelt but Devitt was not.
