The North Missouri Center for Youth and Families will hold its annual Lights on After School open house next week.
The “Refresh. Rebuild. Reboot.”-themed event will be held at the center the evening of October 26th from 4 to 7 o’clock.
STEM, Assistant Programs, and Family Outreach Coordinator Brandi Pittman notes that the event highlights the activities of the center’s after-school program. She says this year’s focus is on science, technology, engineering, and math and there will also be projects from the fine arts and robotics programs on display.
Pittman notes the Lights on After School event is a national event.
She adds that Nico’z Catering of Chillicothe will provide a free meal during the event at the center, and the Sliced Bread Market donated a cake. The facility will also start a 4-H club soon, and there will be sign-ups for the group that evening as well.
Pittman says anyone interested in finding out more information on the after-school programs held at the North Missouri Center for Youth and Families can attend, which includes adults and children.
