The highway patrol described injuries as minor for a Laredo woman involved in a traffic accident last night at the Thompson River bridge half a mile west of Trenton.

The patrol reports 70-year-old Jackie Owens was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital.

The report noted that just past 8:30 Wednesday evening, the eastbound car Ms. Owens was driving went off the right side of Highway 6, struck a guard rail, rotated one and a half times before coming to a stop facing the other direction.

Damage to the car was extensive. Ms. Owens was using a seat belt.

The highway patrol reported assistance was provided by Grundy County Sheriff, of Grundy County Emergency Medical Services, and Trenton Fire and Rescue.
