The Laredo Board of Aldermen has updated two ordinances to meet state law.
One ordinance deals with nuisances and another ordinance involves dangerous buildings.
The board also agreed to increase the compensation to Maintenance Manager Larry Marrs by 42 cents an hour to the new hourly rate of $15.42.
A member of the board, Sondra Marrs abstained on the vote regarding Larry Marrs.
People wishing to run for the Laredo Board of Aldermen in April should file at city hall December 13 through January 17during regular office hours.
There are two, two-year positions to fill in April.
