The Laredo Board of Aldermen has approved ordinances regarding the 2020 budget and the city clerk’s salary.
Regarding the budget, the total overall income is anticipated at $154,185 with expenses expected to be $152,444. That leaves a projected profit of $1,741. The budget includes general, sewer, water, street, and trash funds.
The city clerk’s salary was increased to $14.30 per hour, which is a three percent annual raise.
The board accepted Maintenance Employee Larry Marr’s resignation due to health reasons. The resignation becomes effective March 31st. Adam Cooksey was hired as a new maintenance employee for Laredo.
