The Highway Patrol reports a teen from La Plata sustained moderate injuries when the pickup truck she drove slid off the road five miles north of Macon Thursday afternoon.
An ambulance transported 16-year-old Karisa Thompson to Samaritan Hospital of Macon.
The pickup traveled south on Highway 63 when it slid off the left side of the road and struck a sign, causing it moderate damage.
Thompson wore a seatbelt at the time of the crash and the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and First Responders assisted at the scene of the accident.
