The Highway Patrol reports a Kirksville man sustained serious injuries when the car he drove lost control on ice and overturned in Schuyler County on Thursday morning, January 13th.
An ambulance took 51-year-old Kevin Vorkink to the Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The car traveled west on Highway 136 before running off the left side about five miles west of Lancaster. The vehicle overturned, struck a culvert, and came to rest on its top. The car was totaled.
Vorkink was wearing a seat belt.
