Kirksville man injured in crash near Brashear

A Kirksville man was hurt Friday afternoon when the truck he was driving was hit from behind by another truck west of Brashear.

Sixty-one-year-old Steven Casey was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 20-year old Kale Webber of Kirksville, was not reported hurt.

The crash happened three miles west of Brashear on Highway 6 as both vehicles were eastbound. The crash occurred as Casey slowed to make a turn, and the vehicle he was driving was hit from behind.

The truck Webber was driving was demolished while the truck operated by Casey received extensive damage. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
