“Kids to Parks” event to be held Saturday at Crowder State Park

Crowder State Park west of Trenton participates Saturday, May 21 in a national celebration called “Kids to Parks.”

At Crowder, there will be a family fun trail run and or walk starting at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. Other activities include a youth photo contest and showcase. Youth age 18 and younger may enter up to six photographs.

Photographs are to be five by seven inch or smaller. Enter the photographs between 8 and 9 o’clock. Those photographs will be on display from 9 to 12 noon.

Missourians across the state can experience fun, family-friendly activities throughout Saturday in celebration of Kids to Parks Day.

This national event is sponsored by the National Park Trust and endorsed by Missouri State Parks. More than 100,000 parks throughout the nation will be participating. The events are designed to encourage families to quote, take an outdoor adventure.
